XML
The XML menu contains commands that relate to XML documents opened in File Comparison windows.
The Check Well-Formedness (F7) command checks the active document for well-formedness by the definitions of the XML 1.0 specification. This command is available in both the Text View and Grid View of File Comparison windows. After a well-formedness check has been performed, a message box displays the result of the check.
Note: This command is available for all files with extensions that have been set as XML-conformant in the File Types tab of the DiffDog Options dialog box.
The Validate (F8) command is available in both the Text View and Grid View of File Comparison windows. It enables you to validate the active XML document against a DTD, XML Schema, or other schema. The associated schema must be declared in the file being validated. After validation has been performed, a message box displays the result of the validation.
Note: This command is available for all files with extensions that have been set as XML-conformant in the File Types tab of the DiffDog Options dialog box.
