XML Grid View and JSON Grid View in XMLSpy offer a visual representation of a document’s hierarchical structure that makes it immediately easier to understand, analyze, and edit the content. With innovative functionality like a dynamic table view for visualizing repeating elements, viewing images, adding filters and formulas, and more, Grid View offers developers new ways to view and work with XML and JSON data.
In v2023r2, new support for split views makes it easy to split a document vertically or horizontally to see and edit different parts of a long document on the screen at once—instead of having to scroll within a single view. You can navigate separately in each view, which enables you to see different parts of the document side-by-side (or above and below). Editing changes in either view are made to the underlying document and are immediately reflected in the other view.
To set a vertical or horizontal split, simply drag the splitter icon on the horizontal or vertical scroll bar to the desired location.
This new option makes Grid View even easier to work with, especially for large, complex documents.
The XPath/XQuery Builder Window in XMLSpy makes it easy to build and test statements, with instant evaluation. Now, in addition to viewing XPath and XQuery results in the window, developers can create a new document from such a result with a single click. This can save a lot of time.
