SSL Encryption
From version 3.3 onwards, LicenseServer enables you to set up a secure connection between it and its web interface (Configuration Page). The connection is secured with HTTPS and encrypted by using SSL certificates. You can purchase an SSL certificate from a Certificate Authority (CA) or use a self-signed certificate.
The broad steps to set up SSL encryption are given below and described in the sub-sections of this section:
1.Obtain the required SSL certificate/s and private key. In the section Obtain Certificate from CA, we describe the steps to purchase a certificate from a Certificate Authority (CA). Alternatively, you can generate and use a self-signed certificate.
2.Enable the encrypted connection by registering your SSL certificate and key in the Web UI settings of LicenseServer's Settings tab.
