XML
The XML menu contains commands that relate to XML documents opened in File Comparison windows.
The Check Well-Formedness 
(F7) command checks the active document for well-formedness by the definitions of the XML 1.0 specification. This command is available in both the Text View and Grid View of File Comparison windows. After a well-formedness check has been performed, a message box displays the result of the check.
| Note: | This command is available for all files with extensions that have been set as XML-conformant in the File Types tab of the DiffDog Options dialog box. |
The Validate 
(F8) command is available in both the Text View and Grid View of File Comparison windows. It enables you to validate the active XML document against a DTD, XML Schema, or other schema. The associated schema must be declared in the file being validated. After validation has been performed, a message box displays the result of the validation.
